Let’s create some space.
Approach
Life and its rhythm, is the greatest juxtaposition of them all. Hardship abides with joy. Change abides with loss. Newness abides with the abyss of the unknown. And, whatever we encounter — whether it rests in the mundane, or enters with a startling roar — our bodies keep a record of the score. You see, the pieces of our experiences aren’t just memories, they also exist in our bodies. Together, we will examine them together, bravely look at the jagged-edged outliers, and create a more whole picture together. In doing so, you will become an ally with your body: whole-heartedly reconstructing the hard-to-look-at experiences, and building a new navigation system for your roads ahead.
I use the life-changing modality of EMDR.
Resource building is something I deem as critical to healing and reconciling with deep-seeded wounds. Together, we will navigate and build new neural pathways by tapping into your creative, imaginative part of yourself. These new connections are a lot like a parachute—they will help you get out when you are stuck, ultimately helping you develop a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
Focus Areas
Am I doing this right? Why doesn’t this feel more enjoyable or fulfilling?
Being a new mom can feel like the loneliest, longest and scariest learning curve. Hard truth: You are learning to take care of a vulnerable, precious human being, on the littlest amount of sleep you’ve probably ever had. Let me hold your hand as you walk through this journey of love and adjustments, and help you find footing and empowerment in this new season.
Postpartum
We all walk into parenthood thinking we have what it takes. What no one told us is, it takes more than we ever realized.
Let me be the first to remind you: You are doing the best you can with what you know. With a periphery on your childhood, we will examine how your experiences are shaping your responses to your child(ren) and arm you with boundaries and tools to break generational cycles and be the parent YOU desire to be.
Parenting
Children act how they feel. For children to believe in change—and hope—they need to feel safe and not alone in whatever they are feeling. I am here to sit with them, and help them grow in self-trust— which is built from gazing inward. By assisting them in naming their feelings and learning about themselves, they will grow in self-confidence and honor what we all should have been taught at their age:
Who I am is not what I do.
Child-Adolescent
These two words alone hold so much power, and what we don’t realize is they are just symptoms of a bigger picture:
a picture for YOU to narrate and create.
I am here to offer a new conversation and attachment to the sensations that once felt gripping. The body can keep the score, but it also holds the power to heal and set us free.
Anxiety & Depression
When did the love-trust change? Why can’t we just communicate safely?
These are real experiences that need repair and new ways of communication can help bridge the gap when hope feels lost on the radar.
I can’t guarantee specific outcomes, but what I do know is that when couples seek help, they often regain sense of hope. Together we will identify where trust has been ruptured, and orchestrate conversations that help you build the confidence to heal.
